Halal certification and what it means

There are so many certifications across skincare ranges these days, we must wonder what we were once putting on our skin.

To name a few, we now have vegan and vegetarian friendly, gluten free, cruelty free and Kosher products available to us, but what do they actually mean?

Though Halal is already on the list for many, due to consumer awareness, a Halal certification could well be the next one we will all be looking for.

Halal skincare products are essentially free from materials forbidden by Islamic Law – typically made of all natural plant-based ingredients, with no animal or absorbable alcohol ingredients being used during manufacturing.

In a nutshell, Halal products are suitable for anyone who worries about the unknown ingredients they may be putting on their skin, after all, our skin is our largest organ and absorbs a large percentage of what we put onto it. The ingredients in products we use on our skin can easily be absorbed into our bloodstream.
